Chapter 1 Part 4

What the swine didn't realize that their utopia would be even more impossible with Sparky as both their leader of action and direction. In the world of the ham, it was not actual ability that led to promotion. Napoleon only cared for how much you believed in his otherworldly dream. It were as if it was religion to him. No matter how farfetched it seems, it only matters how much you believe in it. Louise would always fancy it that way. That religious positions are not because you are gifted or smart, but how much you believed in all of the implausibilities of so. This was how the sow's mind works. No logic whatsoever. They had created a phrase for when she'd speak like this. They'd say, "Geez, Louise, when you ever you ever gonna pull your snout out of the trough?" She'd always respond to Napoleon, and everyone else, when she was told this, "Gee, I don't know." She couldn't be anymore right. There was little at all that she truly knew about reality. Most of the animals had often believed her to be a duck because she walked slowly like one and had a real birdbrain.

Napoleon had to scheme up a plot to get into the farmer's tractor or such. He knew a simple automobile would not be sturdy enough to hold the six of them. He would not let swine such as Sparky and Chris get near the helm. It is bad enough that Chris also believes that automobiles are seaworthy vessels. Napoleon snorted over the stupidity of his cousin. He wondered why they couldn't be superior like him? No matter, he thought. His mother sow, Nana pig, had told him that stupidity is a great thing. She said it's easy to take advantage of boars and sows as such. He rolled in the mud over this one, oinking loudly with amusement. Nana pig was one of the dumbest sows he ever met, tied with only his idiot mate Louise. This was one of the key reasons for him choosing to mate with Louise. He often was able to get his way with Nana pig, including extra slop when he ran out, simply because she was so dumb. He could often feed both Sparky and Louise for weeks on Nana Pig's extra slop. She was very large, just like her son, and that meant she always had extra. Nana Pig never cared about anything otherwise, for her entire world was nothing but slop, and in her last months, the farmer's children's cartoon shows. She got to bond with Sparky during that time, as they finally found something in common, besides the usual love of slop for swine. They both enjoyed ridiculous, immature shows on the television. It was too bad she didn't walk upright, too, as she would have been perfect to do such. Her love of slop and immature television shows definitely qualified her to be an upright swine. What kept her from achieving this ideal life, as Napoleon called it, was her limited mobility that rivaled the speed of Sparky. Her back hooves had became all but crippled the last months before she died. Napoleon sighed over such fact, running his right hoof along his chin. Sparky has already had such problems in life. The farmer, when he first looked at Sparky, when he was born to Napoleon and Louise, had said, "Yep, he be big and fat when he get older, but not too bright. He really won't live that long 'cuz of that." Napoleon always knew not to question the farmer's knowledge of swine. This is what makes them their worst enemy, and greatest foe. It would be quite challenging for Napoleon to defeat their evil keepers, the farmers. Napoleon believed his opinion on himself was enough to overcome them. Just as Sparky had thought himself Narcist, his pa pig, Napoleon, had believed himself Adonis.
