The Legend Of The Half-Demon Prince
Asuschi was a prince who came to this world originally to seek happiness. Upon learning the identity of his true father, the great King Yemma, Asuschi developed a sense of not only pride but also great discipline. He understood his father's ambition to maintain balance in this world and the spirit world. Asuschi quickly discovered the demon's world desire was to control the human world and silence the good king Yemma's domain. Our fair prince, being his youngest and most unproven son of his royal highness, then set out on a quest to avenge his father's legacy.
What young Asuschi originally lacked in experience was balanced by his compassion. Despite being a half-demon, he was reluctant to kill his foes, as he had a human mother he deeply cared for. Asuschi often showed his emotion each night, begging his father for rest as he cried terribly. King Yemma always told his son that this was his decision, and, like any good father, he was just keeping him to his word. As Asuschi grew his humanity also slowly disappeared, as the exposure to many demons took over his troubled mind. Even still, the prince kept on fighting, as a true hero does not give up. What motivated him at this point? Was it simply his love for his parents? Maybe it was perhaps a bit more? Asuschi knew what he thought was then the truth. "I have to make my father happy." For it is up to truly the prince to please his king. That is the only thing our still young prince believed he was fighting for. How wrong do you think he could possibly be?
Over the years, Asuschi, the dog prince, as he was known, had slain many powerful foes. There was only a few left more for him to destroy. This final part of his initiation traumatized him. The prince's hair shimmered and became white as snow, and he finally discarded what was left of his human form! He resembled now a terrifying beast, an image that would make children cry. His father could no longer keep the truth from his youngest son. He told our hero, "Son, I am actually a demon. I was an old one who rebelled against the thought of evil. You are only human from conception, but your heart is nothing more than a demon's, like mine." Asuschi couldn't handle this realization. He wanted now only to give up. He remembered then what his father did to traitors, and reluctantly our hero pressed on.
Asuschi still harbored one hidden desire in his heart. He wanted to see his long dead mother once more. He believed she was in heaven, and would only meet her there if he killed the demon lord. Defeating him would not be good enough. His father demanded his severed head as proof of victory. If Asuschi could see her but once more he would be complete. It was his connection to his loving mother that kept him noble. He'd be willing to die if this could only be but true. He couldn't do this alone. Asuschi cried terrible bloody tears, and made a spirit pet, a familiar beast he named Venatar, after someone he admired who went to war and never returned. They were two of kind in the fact they despised themselves. For the first time, Asuschi had a friend. He prayed that him and Venatar could be with his mother and king Yemma in heaven. Perhaps his father's hardened heart would soften if he could see his fair wife once more.
Asuschi engaged the true demon lord in his stronghold. Together with Venatar, they dispatched his minions. The demon lord Goneith was not pleased, as he was a giant hot tempered bull. Both Asuschi and his brother-pet charged him, with Goneith desperately fighting for his sinister life. Goneith aimed a fatal strike right on target for Asuschi. Venatar could not let his friend die and chose to save him. As Asuschi watched his only friend die, he was enraged, transforming into his true demon form, that of a large reddish fox, ever more terrifying than before, with fur of fire, possessing nine tails, and superior wits in which made it easy to kill Goneith the demon bull. Asuschi became unhappy and wept. His brother was now also gone. His father could bear no more and shouted, "Enough!" And brought Asuschi to heaven permanently to join Venatar and him. It wasn't long before Asuschi's mother, Ayashi, asked the good king if he still loved her. Yemma had tired of his calloused ways, and with the defeat of all the demon world, confessed the truth, "I do." The four of them are all kin to demons, but, because of their actions, and thus sacrifices, had their hearts and souls kept safe in heaven.
