Justification of Means
Justification is a word that sounds positive but is actually a very negative situation. Let's analyze the terminology before we discuss it any further. Justification is defined as "The action of showing something to be right or reasonable." The counter argument is that if something is of good nature why would ever need to take action to show it to be reasonable? It is of course contradictory in nature to begin with. The term comes to mind for me when speaking of religion or judgment by a court. This blog is spiritual, and I want to discuss justification in terms of our own personal nature and karma.
I will begin with an extreme contrast. If I am to steal from someone in order to feed myself, can I really hope to stay righteous in the law's eyes? The absolute truth is that I am still guilty in the law's eyes, and still need to be held accountable for my wrong doing. There is no escaping the reality of our society. We do not have freedom through our own thoughts and situation. We must be held for judgment, and understand the only freedom comes from our liberated mind. Seek enlightenment, and you will find the way to gain your goals and needs without bad karma.
Next, let us put justification of our means to test in a trial and juror sense. Someone is charged with a violent crime of a felony nature. The person on trial claims he is innocent. The factor are analyzed, and both sides state their case. The man tries to justify their actions, saying that they acted in self-defense. The marks at the time of the crime are analyzed on both victim and defendant. The expert witness comes forth, claiming the defendant is indeed guilty. The man goes to prison despite the fact there really was self-defense involved. The man who was justified in his own case us punished due to him being stronger physically. Where does black end and white begin?
The mam who was acting in self-defense was still at fault. He was not justified. Only an unenlightened individual would be we're involved in a dangerous situation. I know that does not sound fair and insensitive, but I do have a very valid point. If we wish to seek an enlightened means, we must throw away all attachments to his world we walk on. Why would we be randomly attacked? A random attack does happen to some, but it is very unlikely. We often trust those that we shouldn't trust. We try so hard to make friends in this life, bending our standards to make them. We should always surround ourselves with like-minded people, be ourselves either of the light or the dark. We, as a people, are the type to chase after what is foreign to us, and that includes people. Why should we ever do that? Should we not be in the company of others who enjoy having good karma in their lives? This is a paradigm: humanity is a beautiful thing and we should always be drawn to it.
Conclusion
Justifying our means is always an evil thing. We should have no pride when it comes to accepting or flaws. The old saying goes, "You do the crime you do the time." Never be led to believe that we cannot stop our own fate. Do good, and you will reap good karma. Rejoice, for we are more than evil beings. We are more than anything else, for we are human, and it is our flaws that make us wonderful. Be enlightened, and celebrate. I will think nothing worse of you should you do mess up in life and I will not nerd justification, I will love you regardless of anything.
