The Art of Caring
Sounds like a simple title for an article. One might say we all care, but sometimes, this is far from the truth. Empathy does not imply the actual emotional response of caring about others and what happens to themselves and others in life. Sympathy, though, now that's something. Sympathy is an essential and sublime state where you actually have concern over what happens to others. Yet, what would constitute caring about our own fate? One may sat that self-concern would be the ultimate factor determining our own welfare.
How hard is it to care about yourself and others? Some would say it's downright impossible at times. Apathy tends to kick in when our tolerance of others runs thin. You should care about other (as well as others) for this is one of the secrets to living a happy existence. Tolerance is indeed a virtue. Sometimes, we must tey really hard to accept others. Karmic law says we must accept others if we are to ever be accepted ourselves.
The act of caring takes both patience and selflessness. I do not know how selfless my human side is: my inner desire often cares little for others. However, if I can conquer my material side, then I will indeed embrace an existence of selflessness and sympathetic care for others. If e are ever to establish harmony with others we must accept that self-desire is ultimately bad. Our desire should be for fellow man and woman. If we do not please others we will in turn never please ourselves. That's right: we get our true satisfaction by satisfying others, be it through the mind, body, or soul.
There is too many unhappy people in this world to not care. My general rule of thumb is to care about others until I find that they are being destructive to myself. You'll know when you are truly not helping the person when you identify you're only fueling the person's bad habits, which are destructive to themselves. There must be a balance to all things, and we must use our greater judgment in this life.
The act of caring about another creates all sorts of possibilities for the one who loves the other. Love is the irresistible gift that compels both man and woman. I do love, and I will tell you that many will never return that love. I know each and everyone of you reading this for a reason. If I could compel you I would. We are one people, and we all know enlightenment to some extend, including myself. If I could do but one thing it would be to persuade you into taking a step forward in life and discard yourselves, as this will bring you the gift of both enlightenment and empathy. Together we can make a change and we will be the representatives of many nations, one people all contributing to the greater good of humanity. That is how great I care. A man or woman is nothing if they don't care for and love others. What would be a Karmic blog without the message of make love not war?
Conclusion
We should always care about a person, no matter who they are. We need to be good judges of character and emotion, as we just realize our own safety matters. Never stop loving and caring, as it is a gift that should be given freely and unconditionally. Have you ever been down in the dumps, desiring someone's sympathy? If you've ever been I'm those shoes I.believe that karma has called us to care about others and love them. We are equipped with a heart and soul and we should show them ours.
