Coping with Internal Negative Feedback
As you can imagine, internal negative feedback is thoughts that are negative to a person's personal growth. Essentially it is personal negative opinions. Negative internal feedback crushes our confidence and leaves ourselves nervous. In writing, we refer to thoughts as internal dialogue. Imagine internal negative feedback as antagonizing thoughts and feelings. They will derail you and take you off the beaten path. Your success as a person relies completely on having constructive and motivational thoughts and feelings.
What to do when Negative Thoughts and Feelings Happen
Negative internal feedback never helps and it is not the same as fact or even so much as opinion. It is completely unnecessary. What we have to do is find the root of the negative thought or feeling and finds its origin. That's right. Our own internal negative feedback often stems from external factors. These external factors are almost always from 3 categories: work, family, and friends. Face it, friends, family, and work add huge pressure and stress to our lives. This does not mean it's bad to have friends, family, and a job. There just has to be some sort of interpersonal boundaries set. ("Interpersonal boundaries," meaning inside of you, or mental boundaries.) Due to the nature of having relationships we simply cannot set boundaries. It's true that our friends and family should respect us, however, we must remember respect goes both ways. The golden rule comes to mind. Work, on the other hand, is a place where you are there to a task or fulfill a role. We must absolutely be diligent and do each task that our bosses or mangers give us. Without proper order we may find ourselves without a job.
I will use myself as a personal example. My family is treated with respect and love, as what few friends I have found time to associate with. I have doubt's and insecurities as any like person does, and when I find a discrepancy I focus all my time and mental energy Into overcoming that inner barrier. Time, either days or years will lead to my personal victory. Our greatest enemy is not fear but ourselves. Ourselves are what win or lose personal wars. It's sometimes very painful for a person to deal with their weakness. However, when a person starts to fight against their darker half they will undergo a personal metamorphosis. After awhile, they will appear as a former husk of themselves. You will be a beautiful butterfly, an alien to your fellow human. You will become either admired or hated. I cannot stress that enough. Those who arent envious of you are the ones who will become your brothers and sisters.
Critical Thoughts on Destructive Thought and Feelings
Destructive thoughts and feelings will ultimately lead to mental deficiencies. Believe it or not, be you labeled or no, your mind is vulnerable to wounding. Others and yourself can wound your psyche. Often, both parties lead to destructive behavior, feelings, and thoughts. Do not forsake your fellow human, just shut off those who abuse you. You may be the strongest man alive but the psyche cannot always properly defend against mental attacks from others. Be prepared to set boundaries and catch negative self-criticism when it happens. Do not let the demons ride on your back.
Conclusion
Inner negative-feedback can destroy you. It is not pretty. You must have a warrior's mentality, for a warrior knows how to deal with mental anguish and scars the best. A warrior is fearless, it never underestimates their foe. So keep boundaries and seek out those who complement you. Work hard at your job, and love your families and friends. Take it from me, life is so much easier if you limit your mental scars' power. Both the last and present will attempt to wound your mind and heart. Be strong, even if it's hard. You can overcome your stress and insecurities if you face them head-on. You are a beautiful person, and can do anything.
