The Truth Behind our Identity

The Real Truth

Is that not what all of us are trying to do? Everywhere we look, society has tried to make us blind. Everything has been obscured so that we may not find inner freedom. We are all trying to free ourselves: the truth is the only reality. All of this world is an illusion, and the true reality is inside our mind.

Where do we even start to find the truth? We can search an entire library, an ocean of forums online, or even pick our mate's brain. But we will never find what we are looking for. Each question answered will turn up three more questions. Only through meditation and deep contemplation can we find the truth to the one ultimate mystery. That mystery hidden away is our own identity.

  Identity: The True Quagmire

Our hearts bend, and our emotions bleed, and we suffer. Despite all this, most beings never find their true identity. Even I at times struggle with finding my role in this grand play we call life. Are we defined by our family, our job, our friends, or even ourselves and what we own? I'm sure no one of these things define who you are. What really matters is how we treat others.

Does it surprise your own identity comes from how you treat others? I hope not. Our deeds remain with us forever. We are the person in the mirror. Everything that we do is a product of ourselves and what lies in our mind. I cannot be loving and considerate if I do not treat others well. We maintain  Personal order and balance by treating others with respect. You will then be known for both karma and dignity. Even if you do not mean to gain fame and renown, you may receive it for your deeds. Do not let it go to your head: no one likes a person who's head begins to swell.

Even if you do not find your answers through your deeds,  do not give up on living the karmic way. Your identity is simply that: one side of the scale or the other. One does not find their answers in one lifetime. Life is worth living, and it is worth living in an upright way. A truly defined person is just that: someone who is loving and compassionate. We are not measured by mere words and selfish actions. We are judged by feats of good actions that are both small and colossal. A man must crawl before he flies.

   Life is Everything

The truth is found in life. When one ceases to live, we lose what we had, as if it's a dream. Whether we come back now or years later, we will not retain our knowledge. There is but one truth, and that is life. Whether this is real or a long lucid dream, we exist, albeit an ever changing existence. No one ever stays the same, from one moment to the next.

The truth is never hidden, it's all around us. That we have no true control of actions, and we are at fate's mercy. Truth is what we see inside, and is different for everyone.  We never see one thing the same, our eyes tell a different story for each and.everyone of us. Have you ever seen a famous painting, and thought deeply about the artist's feelings and meaning by it? I know I sire have! Every picture, every story, absolutely everything, is beheld by our judgement. A person's mind is always judging.

   Conclusion

The truth is out there. Search for it, and you will find what is the most precious treasure In the universe. Our beloved truth, the thing we're all after. Face it, who doesn't want the answers to their questions? You'll have to tell me one day what nirvana is to you. It's so awesome, that it'll blow you away. To be at the center of it.
