The Outer and Inner Self

much like there is two sides to each coin, there is two sides to yourself. One side is your outer, who we put out there for those around us, and then even more importantly, an inner self. Call the inner self what you will, but it will not change by mere titles alone.

Before we explore the inner self, let us define the outer self. Your outer self puts on a good show, displaying one emotion to the next.  When joy is there, you display great vigor in your outer self. When sick, your outer self suffers, and shields itself from contact with others. In a sense, your outer self is who you are to others, or most others anyways.

Your inner self though, is a gem. Your inner self believes in all things, and is who you truly are. They say appearances are deceiving, but your inner self will never lie to you. Inside, you may be a raging tiger or a bird high in the sky.

Embrace your inner self, love yourself. Be united with your own inner wants and desires, and fulfill your deepest need. Even though our outer self will age, your inner self will only change if you will it to. Your inner self will be there to dream, to lead you. Pay absolute heed to yourself.

Never doubt the power of oneself, and even more yourself. Seize that promotion yourself desires, satisfy your thirst for knowledge, and enrich your soul. Stay in constant harmony with the inner workings that make up the being called you.

Real beauty lies within. Never forget that what makes you happy is actually just what you need. Don't let your thoughts escape you. Existence is merely a metaphor but you are not. Live the karmic way.
