The Return of the Animal Farm

Chapter 1 Part 8

The night had played into all of Napoleon's fears. He had remembered how hard it had been to mate with Louise. All the hog mating rituals such as swining and dining were not to Napoleon's liking. He imagined that even the farmers would want to mate with Napoleon when he was their king. For Napoleon knew he had what it took to be a true leader, with no brain, no heart, or even a soul. He realized that it would not go well if the lowly farmers attempted to court him. Their ideas of mating such as respect and favor were not appealing to he. A swine should not have to conform to any form of respect such as sincerity or love for his mate. When all the farmers and their children will line up to mate with Napoleon, he vowed to kill them instead. He will not spend a bucket of slop or play a round of pigglywinks with him as they so clearly desire.

Dealing with Louise's outstanding expectations were enough to drive other swine mad. How dare she want equality or more. This is something that Napoleon clearly will never give to anyone. He had read the farmer's newspaper when he farmer was not looking several times. He knew that equality and rights is something a true leader should not give his subjects, not once, or even ever. He had never read about anyone in Oklahoma or elsewhere ever giving such a thing to anyone as king. As Sparky stared at his passive Pa blankly, Napoleon brought his head from side to side, as if to emulate when the farmer was disappointed with their sons who wished to sleep in. For it was a cardinal sin to a farmer for their child to be lazy, and Sparky was always just that. A young boar with no drive and all the expectations of the world. He would be well suited to be the younger son of any farmer simply because of that. Napoleon is much too smart to have to abide by any silly rule or regulation of any farm. Sparky, his offspring, however, couldn't be any further from that. Rules were made by the farmer's to control boars such as Sparky.

The rest and mass feeding that proceeded the swine's tense but rather uneventful night  was rather satisfying to each of the group. Each swine, be them big or small will always enjoy sleeping, eating, and relieving themselves. These are the most exciting things that each boar and sow is commanded to do upon birth. Their lack of knowledge on mating and courtship is because swine place no importance in learning etiquette. Etiquette will always be primitive in the eyes of swine, as some things are not worth knowing for their kind. Why bother any swine with learning anything new? Their lives were always surmised by eating, sleeping, and using the mud for emptying their innards. Napoleon knew there was more than this for swine, and that is why they must rule over the farmers. This is what separated him from the standard thoroughfare boar.

They drove into Farmer Joe's outer dairy, and spied two passive cows outside. Each glared at the swine as they unloaded with their makeshift weapons that they had strapped to their tractor. One rather vigilant cow named Beatrice started to moo for their bull, but Sparky proceeded to charge her. Despite the obvious weight of Beatrice, she tipped right over from Sparky's inspired defiance. The other cow, a more timid one named Lois, surrendered. Louise seized this opportunity, and spoke while salivating from her maw, "These farmers have enslaved you and insult you with not slaughtering you. Help us liberate your farm and my mate will reward you aplenty." Napoleon had to stop from laughing. A stupid cow like Lois would receive nothing from him. He planned to use her and have Sparky easily kill her afterwards. No cows would ever be allowed to sit in his court.

So the six swine and lone cow began to march right for the barn, silos, inner dairy and more. They would attack the farmhouse last when the moon was once high. With each animal liberated to Napoleon's cause they shall surly fight for their liberation and his eventual world domination. It is each animal that is shackled by their farmer's right to live and die for what they deserve. As Napoleon views this, their temporary freedom and their essential execution by their ruler. Napoleon would allow no opposition to him and his Pig Parliament. A pig ruled world is led by swine and for no other. Farmer and city dweller alike must dwell to their future warlord's reign, or die trying to rebel to Napoleon's iron fist. A liberal nation for him was one led by a swine with no intelligence nor morals, such as the one they hear about in the farmer's news from the heartland. It is do as we say with no opposition or chance to contest, such as the liberal ideals running rampant in Oklahoma and outside. It is disagree with us or die, which meant that Napoleon is well-suited to lead a liberal kingdom. He will slay any liberal leader as he is the much bigger liberal than them, as his tyranny and size is greater. This is the liberal democratic thought that we have seen throughout time, and Napoleon is no different.
