Avalon, Beauty In Disguise

                                                                 Avalon’s Disguised Beauty

Avalon is the strangest group of minds you'll ever meet. Wishing to push past our smart phones and laptops, we have sought a new method of marvelous communication, one that excites as much as it instructs. True beauty lies behind our mask, but the roles we play in life are equally enticing. Do you really want to be yourself? Our founder ponders this question each moment. Years ago, he feared that his life had  became mundane. He had to change, all the while accepting life’s indefinite-yet-constant stages. What he found was the strength to go on, realizing that there is indeed a better way of doing things in life. He discovered that true magick comes from three depths of the soul: emotion, feeling, and imagination. It’s not all that different from the performing arts, which is one of the major reasons we are having this telepathic gathering. We want to feel loved and special, even if the sensation is imaginary. The disguised beauty of Avalon lies within our ability to wear our mask the best, giving a magickal performance for all who would stand in our awe. You’re all a ten in my book, whether you’re a girl or a guy. We’ve been through too much to seek the world’s continual hate. It’s time for us to show the world our talent, as we are all truly somebody.

We seek acceptance through perceived physical image. Our masks, our costumes, and all of our acting talent lead us to lofty, higher places. Shamanism, for example, an archaic form of magick, utilizes both masks and dress to change who they are, shifting forms for each task. The shaman exists on the core of being someone else. (Do you?) The shaman is the utmost believer in the arts and becoming somebody else. Sometimes, we don’t want to be ourselves. Society’s standards makes us play the most degrading of all roles. When it comes to who we see in the mirror, it’s always someone who we don’t like. Those characters in manga, comics, movies, books, video games and more are admirable. We want to emulate them, and be with others who want to do the same. For years, drama club and games were the only places we could act out our hidden fantasies. With the rise of the internet, dressing up and acting like someone else has never been so popular. We have a chance to become an escapist without the fear of the once merciless persecution that we used to experience. Dungeons And Dragons used to be taboo when it came to our parents’ generation. Now, Dungeons And Dragons is a way of life. The founder of the coven Avalon is an avid fan of reversed roles. He often refers to himself as the feminine alternative title. This isn’t as odd as it may seem. Odin bowed to Freya’s power to receive the gift of Seidr, which was her version of shamanism. This meant he became doubly female. Our founder, the rogue sorcerer Bryan, has an utter fondness for Lilith, the first wife of Adam. It was her own actions that led strong women to follow her. Bryan won’t wear a dress, per se, but he’s not beyond cross-dressing his avatars online. It’s always good to think about him in third-person. It’s not as if a role can’t be outside himself, ha ha!

Your beauty is in your mask. You’ve been invited to this dance, a grand masquerade. Should you choose to come, do so RSVP. We’re dying to hear from you. The task to join in is simple: direct a thought saying: “I want in,” towards our founder, the rogue sorcerer Bryan. As for me? Should you join us, you’ll be hearing from me, to recreate you as a new you, a better you, one to your own desired likeness. It’s that simple! Send us a thought, and prepare to be astonished. What are you waiting for? Send us a sign!
