Alleviating Suffering

How To Alleviate Suffering

Suffering is something that can occur to anyone in this world. Suffering is what keeps us from our hidden potential. The human mind, at its core, should be perfect. However, we know that is by far not true. In fact, all psychological problems occurs within the mind. We are prone to this broken world and all of its suffering and sorrow that it causes in our psyche.

psy·che
noun
the human soul, mind, or spirit. (The human soul, mind, or spirit and its conscious nature.)

The human psyche, when it is not reinforced, is very fragile. Consider the psyche being like you and your personality. The psyche is what makes you who you are, and when your psyche is injured, you will suffer. The damage done to it, although painful, can be alleviated. Seeking enlightenment of the mind will cure all suffering, as suffering occurs within the mind. Even physical pain comes from the mind. We are best when we are practicing enlightenment. Those who are enlightened cannot be injured in any way. The mind can be strong, and it is all possible through enlightenment. Our psyche will know no pain as long as we remain in the nirvanic state that is enlightenment.

Sublime nature aside, we understand things in a simple way. We respond to stimuli in a fairly black and white emotional response. Things either give the mind pleasure or pain. Suffering is the state that occurs when we are alive in the flesh and not in the mind. Suffering, although essential to some, is not felt to the enlightened mind. We can achieve alleviation to any sort of wound, including those which are blows to the psyche or human mind. Emotional pain occurs on both the bodily and mental level. To alleviate it we must enter an enlightened consciousness. When our consciousness is focused on eliminating the stresses of the world based in a clear mind and entering a sublime state we are able to push past our frustrations and worries. If we breathe deep and enter a meditative state we can find a way inside to stop that emotional bleeding. Sorrow and anger can be stopped, at least to a nominal degree, through meditation. Sorrow, as it is called, is sadness, and we can only look past that with deeper emotional understanding. Anger, or wrath as it is sometimes called, is an incorrect emotional response. A person should not feel anger as it lacks empathy and is self-destructive in nature. However, it still is a problem for many as frustration and resentment, are the cores in which it comes from. Resentment and frustration is something that is not fun for anyone. Now, wouldn't anyone like to be free from anger? Now I know that is something I would like to be free from. Anger and sorow are two of the worst things in the world. With enlightenment, we can overcome what the mind usually has for shortcomings.

Yes, it really hurts to suffer, but I believe we can overcome our pain and at least feel free inside. To have inner freedom is more freedom than what most people have on the outside. As a world, we are chained down by our worldly possessions. When we can escape all bonds of worldly desires, pleasures, and possessions we will then know utter freedom and enlightenment. Enlightenment and freedom go hand-in-hand, and I know personally that they are worth having. You can be free, and alleviate your pain and hurt through enlightenment. I know that you can have peace, both inside and out, and the way that is possible is through enlightenment, or the mastery of our own minds.
