Our Landlord is a real work of art, let me tell you. This is a sequel or a part 2 to A Portrait of a Slumlord. Today, I was assaulted by our slumlord after attempting to photograph him not wearing a mask. I immediately called 911, in which the police responded, in which he denied his assault on me to the police. After the police witnessed him not wearing a mask, he conceded and finally put one on.
To make matters worse, he has recently been in contact with the coronavirus. He may be attempting to give people Covid by not wearing a mask and Laying hands on me and others. I immediately contacted several organizations about this incident, including non mask compliance and housing. After this incident, I may seek to sue TCB management, Tim and Barbara Vawter. If you live in Spokane, do not seek housing from these individuals. They are slumlords who operate outside of any laws.
I don't believe I should have to pursue legal engagement against my own manager, but, hey, this happens way too often against other landlords. When we believe we live outside of any laws and moral consequence, both in the government and spiritually, we begin to act like Tim and Barbara Vawter. I don't appreciate any man laying hands on me. I did not respond back with violence, but instead a phone call to the police. It is too bad it becomes someone's word against someone else's. Of course the offender won't admit to their crimes. How is justice to be sought in a society that plays one side against the other?
This isn't good on my psyche. I hate when humanity acts like my enemy. I will take the high road and seek the good in people, believing there are still good people on the face of this planet. I'm not going to give up my pursuit of justice because of the actions of one corrupt person. Are we not all created equal, under some often ignored godly statute? Our forefathers would adamantly disapprove of our behavior towards one another. At one point we were meant to work together, not shove an individual because they were photographing us not wearing a mask.
Why would we attempt to attack the individuals who are in the right? Is this what it has come down to, to attack those who would cry out for justice? I applaud my maturity as I didn't respond back in a similar manner. May the God, or whoever is in His place, condemn the actions of people like Barbara and Tim Vawter. I want to move somewhere else after I sue them. I will be taking legal action to protect myself. I will take the high road by finding somewhere else to live. May I find the strength to forgive them. It is hard, but maybe I need to understand some corrupt individuals do things like this, and not everyone is like them.
If you have a corrupt landlord, know that you aren't alone. There is legal actions you can take against them and organizations that will seek to protect you. Always seek justice against all individuals, but know that some justice can only be sought by the Godhead. Let your voice be heard, but do not get carried away. There are some simple things we can do to make this world a better place, and it is by rooting out those who would be corrupt and making them face lady justice. Report discrimination in housing today. Do not let people live lawlessly. Let freedom ring.
