Avalon’s Peaceful War
We don’t live in a perfect world. Life becomes bitter and cold within mere moments. It is truly strange how we have came to possess Demeter’s icy heart. Our own pain is not unlike her own. Hades’ admiration was not pleasing in her eyes, All she knew was loss, and as the Earth freezes over each winter, we are reminded that even the Gods know agony. Our pain is just, but the ones who caused our sorrow are corrupt. We have been penalized for rebelling against the world’s mediocre norm that measures intelligence! It has never been about our beliefs or hobbies, but merely about our sharp-witted nature. We shouldn’t despise them for this, as it is to be expected. Instead, let’s punish the world by forcing a radical change where everyone wins! Many will reject this great transformation, but many will also welcome the chance to cut their bonds! We aren’t leaders by their definition, but more by a cast of our own creation. Like character sheets that we worked all night on, we treasure how we shape our likeness in our own minds. Role-playing is not only pleasurable, but a much needed escape in this hectic world which refuses to accept the way we are.
Our war will be seen as just a peaceful, imaginative game we play at our friendly gatherings. Our war against monsters, dragons, undead, and banshees alike, is more than just a work of fantasy, at least to us. We hide away, behind our glasses, our bangs, our books, maybe even our dresses and brooms. We all hide away that inner god or goddess, the one who is starving for affection and admiration. We didn’t want, not ever, for anyone to actually die, but instead to reform, rehabilitate, and to accept us for who we are. Acceptance is by far not mere tolerance. Tolerance implies we have done something wrong. Being yourself is not a crime or taboo, but instead a rare virtue. We must protest, in our hearts, if we are to find our own way to the place of our fantasies, Avalon. Yes, our deepest, darkest, most forlorn desires all rest where where we can all congregate against the soft waves and eat from the freshest trees, enjoying their delicious apples, forgetting all of our strife. What we need is each other, and not all of the haters. Life would be so much easier if all we had each other, in love, with no hate, where insults become silent, drowned out by our joyful laughter. A simple life is simply a happy one.
There’s no reason to give this world the war they wish for. We can fight it with our greatest weapons, our hearts and minds. Our goal is to not destroy humanity, but more to convince them to accompany us in our flight to Avalon. Quite honestly, Avalon is all about you, and all about us. Witchcraft and sorcery are not our means to injure, for we truly wish to instruct. Do not reject those who’ve rejected us. Persevere and befriend each other and we will prevail. Our lives are not ones to belittle or to slander, for we are the true keepers of the Earth, letting Gaia’s heart reside in all of us, Whether you’re an established sorcerer like our founder, or you’re just someone learning about role playing for the first time, we have enough delicate instructions for all to vividly enjoy themselves each and every time, no matter how strange each experience may become. If I’ve convinced you of our fantasy and its limitless pleasures involved, send out a mental stroke, thinking, “I want in.” We will definitely open the gates for you to be admitted into our Avalon, which may become, in due time, everyone’s Avalon.
