A Depressed Teen For The Holidays
It's almost the holidays. For many teens, we aren't excited about the holidays. We have to stay home from school and that gives us time with what we hate the most, our thoughts. Often, those thoughts aren't good, and we think about everything we shouldn't. The need to hurt ourselves becomes overwhelming, and it's a matter of time before we cut or even worse. Does this sound like you? I may not hurt myself, but I do care about you. It's not fair for any of us to be sad over these few supposedly happy days, but, as they say, life isn't fair. Doesn't it suck, though?
The holidays are, for many people, busy, and full of things to do. Everyone gets ready for them, and many people have to travel to see their relatives. You'd think that these times would be full of relaxation and peace. You know darn well that it isn't. The madness that comes with the holiday rush is enough to bring any teen down. Don't let it get to you. You have to be strong. The holidays are a depressing times for us and also many adults. No one wants to feel alone, and often teens are ignored because of these holidays. Oh yeah, enjoy two weeks of winter break. We all know we want to hang out with ourselves for that long. Social media can only do so much for us. This time of the year really sucks.
Gifts are one thing, but if your family is poor, then you probably won't be getting much. Don't worry, though. You can make it through this time of the year. I wanted to share a site with you where you can get connected with someone who can help you. Remember, try not to hurt yourself, and tell someone you trust about your depression, like an adult. You can get help with your depression and you can get back on track. You have so much to live for, and, smile, because you are beautiful. I am Amelia Varner, your host of Get Help Now. Here's that link, okay? Check it out. Just copy and paste it into Chrome or whatever.
