Meaningless Holidays
Holidays are meaningless. I'm not saying there is nothing good about them, but more that holidays have lost their traditional values. This has been going on for quite some time in America. Christmas is about gifts, Valentine's day is about romance, and Halloween is about kids and candy. These meanings only boost the American economy. Now, on Easter, I know more than ever before that this is just another meaningless holiday that I dread. I don't care about Jesus Christ rising from the grave. I just don't. I don't want to buy Easter candy. Spring is a time of year that I'd rather just prefer to not care about. I'm not Christian, as the religion limits human thought and belief. That's not the way for me.
Why force Easter bunnies and Christ upon me? I don't want to see it on television. I don't care about this religious holiday, as it is actually the pagan celebration of a fertility goddess. Good god, why do we never look up the true origins of holidays? We are all just heathens in disguise, aren't we? What a waste of time. For what it is worth, most holidays are religious or historical. Why is it that the U.S government can even sneak religious holidays on the calendar? Those bastards. The government is always our nation’s biggest weakness. Americans have elected an idiot into office who is trying to tax the hell out of everything, including Amazon. I use Amazon quite a bit. Thank you to all the morons who voted for Trump, the worst president since Nixon.
Why fill up my calendar with meaningless holidays? If you draw some deep spiritual meaning from them, that's fine, but I never could, not when commercialism is constantly trying to inflate my dollar bill. The American hustle. Get a day off work, buy a bunch of crap for your family on the holiday, and wish that you could have worked that holiday instead. My opinions aren't ones generated from hate but instead from reason. Wouldn't you love not buying garbage for everyone, each and every holiday? Look at Halloween. It's a pedophile's dream. We should just delete that day from our calendar, for real.
There isn't anything you can do to rationalize our worthless holidays. I can only ponder how many of you feel obligated to show up at church today. You don't go on any day but Christmas and Easter. That is bad karma. You should not have to feel forced to go to church. It's not as if a god is going to care if you are there. A real god would only care about faith, not if you show up in your Sunday best with a twenty for the plate. Break the ties that bind you. Break the holiday monotony and add some meaning to your holidays. Research them, and find out if they are really right for you. Don't go through the motions. Be the master of your own life, even if people hate you for it. At least you'll be able to respect yourself. Stand up, take your life back. Listen not to the oppression given by mainstream society. Ciao!
