Life, The Waiting Game

Life, The Waiting Game

Ah, life, one of our favorite philosophical topics to dissect here. Life to some is pointless, and to others, it's beautiful. To me, it is many things, but it is always a waiting game. We spend our whole lives waiting, no matter what stage we are in. Whether we’re waiting for paychecks, holidays, new additions to the family, lovers, and, death itself, we're still waiting. We never want to admit it, but life is mostly spent waiting. Forever, we are waiting. Waiting is something that some find excruciating. Whatever we may do, we will always have to wait some time before we can do it.

We live a life full of breaks and timeouts. When we work our jobs, we are waiting for breaks and days off. When we are driving, we are always waiting behind red lights. When we are in love, we are always waiting for each and every word from our mate. We wait, that's what we do, counting the days like a young child waiting for Santa Claus to come down the chimney. It's amazing how durable the human species is. They go through so much anxiety without skipping a beat.

As for me, I am always waiting for the next meal, the next chance I have to write, praise, and more. I sit at the end of tomorrow, looking forward to the next day. I cherish light, and I cherish my next opportunity to see it. I'm not sure what lies ahead, but I always wish for it to be happy times. Isn't that what we all truly want, happiness? Is that what you are waiting for? When's the last time you've had it? Is time slipping through your hands? Don't wait for tomorrow. Stop waiting and go find it. You don't know what lies ahead, either.

We have never really been considered to be a patient species, but I know that some people have the patience of a Saint. People seem to be always at the mercy of the waiting game. No one is truly perfect, as I always want to be able to write more so I can complete projects. In September, I have a 320 page book due out, as well as another due out in October. Why doesn't this seem good enough for me? Have I became that greedy? No, I haven't, it's just that when it comes to the act of waiting, I even have my flaws. Prudence I have, at least when it comes to people. Is it a bad thing that I am patient with others and not so much with my advancement? Maybe I need to take my own advice and enjoy the smaller things in life. Although I am the clever Alchemist Witch, I am still merely human at times, and when it comes to waiting, alas, I am not perfect. That's right I said it, and you will probably not hear it often: even I am not perfect.

Have you ever wanted to time warp, or even go back in time? When it comes to waiting for something big, we all want to jump through a wormhole! None of us want to wait! We can always play the waiting game, I just hope we have something else to do while we are waiting. It's heck, isn't it? To think most of this life is spent waiting! You are strong enough to endure the wait, just remember this one simple fact: I will always be right there, waiting with you. I blog each day, and I want you to all imagine me, sitting right there, waiting with you. Consider me an old friend and a caring mate. We fight together in this battle we call life. There is nothing we can't wait through, together, as one.
