Your Individuality

Your Individuality

We always want to be considered unique as an individual, different from everyone else. There is one problem with our ideals of uniqueness. Whenever we want to gain friends or acceptance, we often give up our individualistic qualities and start to walk, talk, and feel like the people we are trying to fit in with. This is not okay. Our ideas of views and castes are limitations further still. How can we ever expect to be considered a separate case in the world when we are just like everyone else? There is no rational feelings if you are just feeling the same emotions as other people.

Our ability to follow and not blaze our own trail is ridiculous. There is virtually none who can be a leader these days. A famous person or government official are not our leaders. A leader is defined by their ability to think and plan on their own as well as their concern for the rest of their community. Do those who are unique and individual always lead? Those who are unique do not always lead directly, but more likely lead by example, where ones with individualistic qualities are indeed natural born leaders. The ideal of individualism implies that you seek your own resources and think in an independent manner. America was founded upon its independence from Great Britain and their tyrannical form of government called monarchy. Those men who had written the Declaration Of Independence were brave men who had very individualistic traits. They were clearly strong leaders because of these qualities.

Are all people independent? Of course not. Many people are so dependent on others that they are more like parasitic creatures than human beings. They rely on each other in extreme ways. No one wants to seek out their own means anymore, as independence is declared too difficult in their minds. There is good news, though. Anyone can become independent and individualistic, for all they have to do is learn the qualities that make the human mind an independent vessel of free thought. We should challenge ourselves to think differently from others, expanding on our own unique qualities and our ability to seek out liberty from the pitfalls the mind creates.

When we are individualistic, we are living life to its fullest qualities. You may be shunned by your own ideas that are created from your very own mind, but just remember, that person who is rejecting you is just someone else who is following another person's ideas. We have people all over the internet claiming to be independent thinkers with original ideas, but why is it that I have seen hundreds of people before them with the same ideas and beliefs? No one has the capacity of originality as long as they want acceptance through what is the flag of conformity. The want for others to like you is a dangerous desire. Never give up your own unique qualities for someone else. The flaw of organized society is the rules or thought and belief that exist within it. They are meant for those who wish to only fail.

We are not creatures who have to feel the same ways others do. My originality is only a quality that can be possessed by me. There is no way we can hope to convey our own unique ideas if we are afraid to be different. Let them taunt and mock you, but remember the essence of democracy. Do not forget what you stand for. Stand up and put forth your individuality, not fearing what others think. Let freedom ring.
