Time, The Greatest Illusion

Time, The Greatest Illusion

Time is something that should have never existed. Did the primordial gods create it, or did man? We are faced with this illusion of tracking and record keeping, where as nature and mother earth herself do not care about our conceded concept of time. As far as philosophy feels, time is merely a static transition, like one movement in a song to the next. If time goes forward, does the human organism also go forward? In most cases, the human never goes forward with time, but instead backwards. Why did we create such a thing? Perhaps we did it in an attempt to label the sun's cycles for our own diabolic purpose?

Time moves too swiftly for most to control. To the mage (or, wise man,) he attempts to harness and control the ravages of time, attempting to bend it to his will. At times, he is able to stop the forces of time, if only for a second, and in some cases, he is forced to do as the cruel mistress time says. Are we foolish to try and abuse time itself, or is this a mark of ascendance? Like a twisted river, time continues to march on, punishing its students and enemies alike. How are we to ever stop this hateful foe that the first man and woman set loose upon us? If the principle of forbidden knowledge was never set loose upon humanity, would we truly ever age? It was not the fact that the fruit was ate, it was the fact that we sought power over obedience. The fable of Adam and Eve will forever haunt us, but quite honestly, it should be viewed as a fable. Although I do study the Bible, it does not solidify my belief in it. My visage of God is much too complex to be defined by one book.

Time and age are unified as one, but also one should believe in the concepts of birth, death, and rebirth. What made humanity wish for measurements of time? It may have simply been a product of vanity. We wished to label the age of a person, as if it reflects the person's wisdom or measure their youth and beauty. This concept of time serves as a marker for whenever you wake up, go to work, eat, and have important events. What it does not mark is the ability of an individual. I am 33, as many of you may already know, and I am at the pinnacle of my intellect, and it increases each day. Others of older ages may not consider me to be on their level, but trust me, I am. As far as my understanding of today's trends and fads, I do not know much of them, but what I do know I am a master of. Is everyone on the same level as I? Maybe not, but I believe everyone is good at something. Age indicates experience, but not skill.

Whether time ever stops or extends is up to ones own imagination. Time goes on, and so do you, from birth to death, and further. You should not worry about your age, as God's plan never cares about what time or day it is. Is not time different for all of us, and do we not blossom at different intervals, making age and year irrelevant when it comes to one's lack of ignorance? Time, it keeps on ticking, and whatever you take from it will be on your own schedule. Have you ever had a day seem like it crawled on for years? Then you surly know why I say time does indicate personal experience. May your travels through life be one of limited pain and anxiety, as those always prolong the sensation of a moment.
