One's Pilgrimage

One’s Pilgrimage

In life, we all have to make a special journey. We can say this is a pilgrimage, and often we have to take this all alone. What trip this might be all depends on our own personal lives and the souls we have on the inside. Life is like a personal battle each and every day, and at one point we must climb up the mountain to find out our life purpose and find where we fit into the bigger picture. When we take this journey, we need to remember it, always.

How are we to prepare for this life-changing event, this pilgrimage? I believe when we do have to make our pilgrimage, we will not have the chance to be prepared. Our pilgrimage may even come at the absolute worst time. Consider it to be like a vision quest, where we travel to find personal truth. What truth we may learn from our pilgrimage is something that can help immensely. When I became a new creature, I learned the world was much greater than personal enjoyment and pleasure. I found out that I am part of a living world that has many rules to follow if I am to be successful. If I was to turn away from the world I would lose the one thing that matters the most to me, and that is humanity. I hope that the truth that you discover on your personal journey can be something that enlightens you and touches your heart.

Our footsteps are what lead us to both light and darkness. We have to be careful where our paths take us, as our pilgrimage will reflect who we are. A creature of darkness will definitely be led on a pilgrimage bringing it into greater darkness, and vice versa. When we make decisions in life, we will be walking a path that leads to forks in the road, new lands, a climax, and eventually, an end. Our pilgrimage happens when we come to one realization, and that is we cannot remain the same way as we were before. We must change, for the better, and our pilgrimage should lead us there.

Are you ready for your journey? I would love to be a companion with you on your pilgrimage, and I feel I always will be, in spirit. Will our paths intersect? I hope so, but until that happens, I will be right here, writing inspiring things which I hope you’ve drawn upon. Where my wares and journeys have led me are nothing compared to what I have learned in the company of good friends. When the time comes, I have no doubt you will be excited and ready to take your personal pilgrimage. Will you meet new friends along the way, perhaps write down your experiences? I know you will do excellent in your travels, but there is one more thing I want you to remember. Whatever may come from your pilgrimage will be a reward, one of understanding and personal discovery. Use the reward to better yourself and those around you, as they may need the advice to help with their own future journey.
