The Changing World
The world changes all around us, every moment of the day. We are constantly trying to adjust to the world that is different one moment to the next and it can be difficult. How can we ever hope to keep up with this world when it changes so fast? We must try and adapt to this world, as it is impossible to survive without keeping up, but, how do we do this? By adapting and learning as much as we can about the world we live in.
Adapting To This Life
We adapt by changing something about ourselves. The empty form theory dictates that we are different from one moment to the next, attributing to an actual empty form/being. Throughout the ages time has always changed both this world and the people on it. We have came in many iterations and it's surprising that we have survived. Whatever source that has helped us to adapt to the changing times is incredible, but still anonymous. However, many people never fully catch up with this new swift era.
We must protect our minds as the ideas of this world that change so quickly are not always desirable. We are bound to our patterns and habits and what is advertised all over television and the internet may be poisonous. What this world tries to sell us is almost always evil. Our adaptation relies on discovery of negative and positive behavior. If we do not decipher what is right and wrong then we will never hope to truly move forward in life, making ourselves fall behind of everyone else. To imitate bad behavior will make us fall behind in life, destroying what chance we have to move on. Our lives are more than just a moment in time, flowing with the sands of time, but more of a testament written in blood. If we become frozen in time then we will become a pawn left behind in the jaws of this world.
It’s not to say as if we are helpless to the turning wheel of this world. Our greatest strength as a human whole is our quick learning. We often pick up new skills and trades in a fast fashion. We received that grace as the dominant species. If we can apply our quick learning nature to our evolving technology and worldly views then we can succeed. Otherwise, we are bound to the ball and chain that is the past. One might say that falling behind in the times is much worse than being considered old fashioned, as we will become shackled by our past which may include hurtful memories. Staying on the cutting edge is much more than having a one up with the latest computers and gadgets, but more of a revolutionary way of staying in the here and now.
My closing thoughts are simple. We do not know if we are conscious unless, in fact, we are. Likewise, we are not slaves to six months ago, meaning we must not forget that living in this world forces us to keep up with it. I learn many new things these days, and I always wonder,
“Wow, why haven’t I heard of this yet?”
Live within the times and reap success or live in the past and let your ghosts of the past haunt you. This is more than just keeping up with net lingo but more an entire philosophy. You can survive in this world. It changes fast but you can run faster. You are gifted, and trust me, many jobs need you to know current technology. Stay in the currents and keep on pushing down that river.
