Morals, the True Mark Of Existence

Morals, the True Mark Of Existence

Morality: Principles founded upon the distinction between good and evil deeds or behavior.

I spent many of my days thinking about morality. To me morals are everything. Morals is what I've built my integrity and honor upon. If I had no morals, I would not be writing here today. My life and my own unique self has been forged through trials concerning my will to stick to my morals. I do not want to live in a world full of deceit and lies, for I dream of the promised land, a place full of the human heart and soul. We are not the offspring of uncaring past generations, but rather a generation that gave their lives for us. We owe it to them and ourselves to find morals and stick to my them even if it kills us, because they did.

Morality: More Than Just Virtue And Vice

Virtue and vice is a concept that contrasts good and evil behavior. For example, patience is the opposite of wrath. The virtues held by us and people in the past are what many great nations were founded upon. The men and women of yesteryear placed great importance in such virtues as integrity, courage, loyalty, and compassion.

Today, many people in the west give into vice. They are not inherently bad people, but merely those with weak morals and self-restraint. You see drugs and negative emotion such as lust and envy as an escape, where I see them as a pitfall. Vice was meant to make man and woman fall, as it has and does. Addiction comes with the practice of vice, be it anything from greed to vanity to flat out pride and sloth. It is bad for the body and soul to ever practice vice. When the soul dies, the body goes with it.

Morality: Why Does It Matter So Much?

Morality is our backbone that supports the healthy and enlightened mind. Some of the most revered men and women had complex honor codes, from the Knights Templar to the Samurais. When question was ever arose about the actions of one of their ranks, consequences would follow. They were not only expected to follow the guidelines and virtues of their respective orders, but also uphold them. Morality, quite simply, is a way of demanding justice and order throughout society. When we set an outstanding example of integrity in a quiet yet well-defined way, others are sure to follow. People are like sponges at times, and are very impressionable. We, as a whole, must strive to leave a part of our good morals with both our peers and the younger generation. Morality might be the most important thing in the world, as we are not defined by just words or actions but by both. One who practices good morals will reflect it in speech and behavior. Morality can be easily seen by others. Those that admire us are led our by our behavior and words. Set a good example. Do not curse our younger generation with your evil deeds. Instead, make our youth pure through setting a good example and sticking to our guns when in the face of the enemy. Our enemy is those who wish to corrupt our fair world and humanity.

We have learned today that morality is a product of good character. We have loosely explored virtue and vice. (Information on virtue and vice can be easily found on the internet if you wish to explore them further.) We also have determined our morality is the glue that holds us and future generations together. Practice morality today. It will net you much good karma, and make you a better person.
