Brotherhood and Sisterhood

Brotherhood and Sisterhood

Let's start out by explaining something simple: if you consider your fellow human being ad a brother or sister, you'll probably treat them better. If you can't see someone as your brother or sister, then you'll probably end up not respecting them. We disrespect people all the time, just as a man would do to a woman. We should not view each other as objects, and respect one another as we would do our own brothers and sisters. Believe what you will about a family, but it realize fully what it is like to defend a brother or sister. There is a strong bond between brothers and sisters, and I know that bond fully, with honor. When we have strong bonds to our fellow human being we will ultimately treat them with love and compassion, and feel both empathetic and sympathetic towards them.

I understand growing up with siblings can be difficult, as I myself understand. But what about when we are older? We care more deeply for them, although I know that sibling rivalry can still be there. What about your friends, though? Do you treat them well? (I'm sure you do.) Now imagine if you treated them not only as your friends, but also as your fellow brothers and sisters. Could you imagine the connection you would have with them? Would it be a strong one, unbreakable even? Now take it one step further, and imagine all of humanity being your fellow brothers and sisters. Sounds amazing, don't it? To think, you meet a person, and you already consider them to have a close bond with you. We'd treat people so much better if we all united as one, and treated each other with care.

Unfortunately, we can be downright uncivil to each other at times. We treat each stranger as if they are an enemy, and show only unkind and negative emotions to them. We cannot do this, as that stranger could one day become your best friend. Have you ever said hello or hi to someone you didn't know? Did you get them to smile? I bet it was the best feeling for you and them. Treat each human being with respect, compassion, love, and sympathetic joy. Rejoice when they are happy, and cry when they are full of sorrow. Empathy is one of the most beautiful things, and as you all know, my key trait. Feel for your own brothers and sisters, and be there for them. You must love them, no matter what.

I suppose it is safe to say that we are normally defensive when around new people, be it online or in the world. We must have confidence, which is indeed positive. Egotism is nothing new in the human being, as we associate it with pride. Pride is a grave sin in reality, but having good self-esteem is a totally different story. Have you ever told someone you love them? I'm sure you have. Now imagine telling everyone, even acquaintances you love them. Doesn't it feel good? You'll feel so much better that you did. Who knows? You might meet some friends along the way.

Conclusion

We should care and love all as brothers and sisters. We will do so much better in life, an learn how to love everyone. No one is unworthy of love. Don't place any hate on those who share this earth with you, for they could be suffering themselves. A person who receives love during the harshest of times with find the strength to fight through the pain. Love all, and you will be loved by all, your own brothers and sisters.
