Intention

   Intention

Intention is the single best and the worst thing tied into our actions. Behind all good actions there is intention, which is either good or manipulative. To make it even worse, there I'd also negative and cruel intentions. Intention can often be hard to read especially if we believe the person who is doing the action is either someone close to us or if they are someone we trust. Intention can either help a person and be truly sincere or it can be detrimental to a person.

Intention is something no matter how hard we try is the motivating force behind all our actions. Intentions are often interpersonally based, but they also do not have to directly involve another person. Now, hear my words. A person should never become a weight on a scale. Whatever you may do, do not ever manipulate a person. A truly honorable person has no need to justify their actions, for their intention should be straightforward. Never hurt a person, or you will only cause yourself to suffer, as is the perpetual law of karma.

Is there a softer side to intention? I am not sure, for this is the truth. The only intentions behind good actions should be motivated by love and compassion. Often in this broken world, this is far from true. Parents, partners, siblings, acquaintances, and close friends all try to manipulate each other. This is often driven by greed. (Greed is one of the three fires, as covered in a previous post.)  Intentions can be cruel, and that is why we must protect ourselves with both mindfulness and our own karma. It may seem impossible to trust anyone in this day and age, but there has to be someone on your level. Intentions, when practiced careful, can be done in the right way, and this allows you to stay on the eightfold path. (The eightfold path was also covered in a previous post.)

What of this life? How can we really be sure of anything? We will know love, compassion, and sympathetic joy one day and it will be grand. Our mind will be in utter nirvana and we will realize all truth and intentions. It will be truly worth weeping over, as our heart and mind pours out good intentions and suffering will cease to exist in our life. It will be a world full of good intentions, and we will finally be one. One people, no division, just one whole.  It will be absolutely a wonderful existence, free of all that hate.

    The Reason You're Here

We may not realize why we are here on this broken world, but there is a good chance I know why you are here on this page. Good chance someone has either made you suffer through cruel intentions, or you have done this to someone yourself. Not worry, there is always hope, for hope dies last. Forgiveness is one of the most crucial ideals ever thought of, and.the only thing you should do to someone who has hurt you is forgive them. Express how you feel, and say goodbye for good to them. You do not deserve to be hurt by those you apparently love. Love is a two way street, and they should never take advantage of you. Take a stand and make boundaries and cut the negative people out of your life, let them become someone else's problem.

 Conclusion

We have discussed both good and bad intention. We know the right intention is crucial to our own personal path, and that those who do things in cruel and manipulative nature are only bound to do it again to us. We need to keep both an open eye and open heart. Embrace karma, and watch as your suffering decreases, and your equanimity grows. (Equanamity is peace of mind, one of the four sublime states.) Keep your intentions right, and you will be on the journey to freedom from suffering. Likewise, cut those negative people out of tour life and you'll have less headaches and heartaches.
