The 5 Strengths

The 5 strengths are faith, energy, mindfulness, concentration and wisdom.  They monitor different facets or lack there of. Faith monitors doubt, energy controls sloth, mindfulness protects against inattentiveness, concentration guards against distractions and wisdom defeats ignorance.

Faith is often referred to as conviction. Conviction guards against, as mentioned, doubt or disbelief. Faith is needed to succeed in many things. You need to have faith in things you can't control, as well as have faith in your friends and family. In a sense, faith controls everything we do.  Faith is indeed a strength and from personal experience, it is something that may fill you completely or disappear at the drop of a pin. Remain faithful to whatever and whoever you trust, for it is key.

Energy is something that also comes and goes. Energy is something that points us towards excellence. One who is vigorous will accomplish their goals and do so in a timely manner. Having consistent energy levels is key to being successful at work related endeavors. Relationships require time and energy too. Your family and friends will disappear if you do not make time for them. Keep your vigor.

Mindfulness is something that takes practice and dilligence. No one likes someone who doesn't have time for them. Patience is a must for being mindful. Mindfullness shows a person that you care about them. Mindfulness is important to show your boss and colleagues at work. You must stay focused because an employer doesn't pay employees to slack off. To be mindful is to have a sincere soul.

Concentration is something many people lack in this world,  but that's okay. No one person has much concentration unless they absolutely focus on what they are doing, which seems to come and go. With life's numerous distractions, people often lose their train of thought and seem distant when the world puts it's burden on us. Also, it seems the older we get, the more patience and concentration we have. A person grows up not possessing much concentration when they are young and wild.  With maturity, you will develop more of an ability to sit down and concentrate on certain things. Like all of the strengths, concentration is key to both your occupation and the matters of the heart. Raising children is a labor of love that requires a lot of concentration. If you aren't concentrating on your friends and family then do not be surprised if they disappear.

Lastly. we come to wisdom, what many consider to be more valuable than all the world's riches. Wars have been decided and peace declared by one's wisdom. Ignorance, on the other hand, is our ultimate enemy. Ignorance knows all about intolerance and is the product of a fool. Ignorance is not something that is part of a human but dwells within many. Wisdom is gained from experience and trial, and if you become wise then you will truly know strength

These five strengths are the mark of a true human. Hold onto them and practice them at all times. Anyone can show these strengths but only a true master can practice these at all times. You and I will never be masters as it is unattainable as is nirvana, but we can infinitely learn about these strengths.
