Be No Evil

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

An age old concept. If one is to remain virtuous , then they must see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil. This ties directly into your karma. Even if it isn't your intention, one who feeds their conscious nothing but evil (Or just a little!) May and very well could become evil,  or do some evil actions. Let's face it, we are human beings and in some ways we are all mimics. Plus, our subconscious is very powerful and weak at the same time. If we take in evil, it has a negative effect on our qi, and without repair, we might inadvertently pass the negative seed along..
Let's examine a few things we take in that may effect our behavior. First and foremost is something many people overlook. It's the media we view/listen to. When negative energies come forth from our books, movies, music, and video games, it invades both our conscious and subconscious. In turn, our media influences what we say and do without us even knowing. We must be aware of this and filter either our mind or the media we enjoy. For a child, we filter the media. As an adult, we must filter our mind, and realize that doing wrong is not a up most path. One must reflect and meditate much to understand how influential our media truly is.

We often see people when we are out in the community who may be unsavory. From drunkards to beggars, to the annoying and rude, there is much negativity in the under belly of the city. The last thing you want to do is empathetically or sympathetically respond to them. They chose their path in life by making bad decisions and choosing to join them for their seedy habits will be the undoing of both you and your karma. Stay away from the dangers of the city at all cost.

Keep your mouth clean and utter positive things through it. Speaking no evil is keeping your mouth clean and your speech acceptable. Encourage others and halt their pain. Be kind with your closest kin and friends. Be a crying shoulder and a pillar of strength to your friends, for they will admire you, and your bonds will grow. For a relationship to be strong you must constantly grow your bonds as you would grow a plant. Relationships require light and nourishment with careful grooming. Do no evil to your partners and company and you will form strong bonds.

Hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil, and I trust you will find yourself on a righteous and fruitful path to the promise land. No one can defeat you but yourself, your true enemy. Do you like who you see in the mirror?  You are what you eat.
